I have been on quite a few bridal shoots recently and am constantly amazed at what an art photography is. These photographers are trying to not only take great pictures but to also bring out the bride/couple in the process. I came across Jill Thomas‘ work though weddings blogs I subscribe to and was so impressed with the creativity each of her engagement sessions brings. Whether it’s locations, props or poses, there are so many ways to incorporate your personality in your photos. Think outside the box. For a little inspiration here are some of my faves. Check out Jill’s blog for more inspiration. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

In the past year I have worked with some not only super talented photographers, but photographers that make my job easy and that I just genuinely like as people. Any real wedding photos you have seen on my blog have been graciously given to me by these photographers. All of which I greatly appreciate. If you haven’t checked out their work, many have blogs or facebook pages that showcase what they’ve been working on. Below are some photos from their blogs. I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy their work as much as I have!! Here they are:

Jess + Kenny: Details

More photos from Jason! Enjoy!!

Jess and Kenny have to be one of the most laid back couples I have seen. There wedding day definitely reflected that. Just looking at them together during the wedding day, you could just see how happy in love they are and how nothing else mattered. They followed a sweet ceremony up with one of the biggest dance parties I have ever seen. Jason Cohen captured EVERY emotion so beautifully. (Happy Birthday Jason!!) Enjoy!!

I have a been slightly obsessed with glassybaby for sometime now. They’re candle votives or bud vases in every shade under the rainbow and have the greatest glow. They are super pricey though ($40 each!) but have recently started renting them for special events. Each for $5. Check out all the ways to use glassybaby and 32 of their nearly 200 color choices Enjoy!!CIgroupbCRW_2964v2_web

We designed several pieces for Lauren and Seth. Enjoy!!!!

First up, their invitation. They wanted something simple. We took a traditional black and white invite and added a unique monogram and left-justified the text for a more modern look.

The ceremony was going to be outside so we decided on a multi-use program. When all four pages of the program are fanned out, it made a fan.

Thank You’s!! Lauren had seen thank you’s she wanted that were a bit expensive. We designed what she was looking for, for less! (Pretty much my favorite part of designing!!)DSC_0265

I had designed this invite for a previous rehearsal dinner and have since used it a few more times. We incorporated her font and added her cobalt blue and I really liked the contrast.
DSC_0264For the rehearsal dinner, we placed name cards at the tables. I typically recommend name cards, because they seem to avoid a lot of awkwardness when family and friends are trying to be seated. And, of course, I think they’re just a cute added detail!

When Lauren told me she wanted to do cobalt blue and white I was a little surprised (most brides had been opting for other shades of blues) but completely in love with it!! The blue bridesmaids dresses popped beautifully against the natural setting of the Courtyard. The touches of yellow were a sweet touch seen in the bride’s bouquet (in memory of her mother). Plus ever since I did my first inspiration board inspired by Spain, I have been wanting to do one inspired by Greece. This fit perfectly. Enjoy!!
