My name is Valerie Metrejean. I am the owner and wedding coordinator for Southern Fete, an event planning firm based out of Lafayette, Louisiana. I am blessed to spend my days helping create one of the most memorable days in a young couple’s life whether it’s designing wedding invitations or meeting with vendors. I love what I do and love that I get to share wedding ideas and tips with you through my blog! I am also the co-owner of Butterscotch Press, a fresh and modern line of wedding stationery so check back soon for features of our latest designs.

When I am not meeting with brides or designing invitations, you’ll find me reading a book or newspaper, playing the guitar or drinking green tea at CC’s.
